Emcee and Speaker

Are you looking for a grounding presence to synthesize and deepen the conference experience for your attendees?

I am both synthesizer and a warm, engaging presence as an emcee or speaker. At conferences, attendees are immersed in content from keynotes, breakouts, and connecting with colleagues. It can be overwhelming and also inspiring. I weave these complex experiences together to support participants’ sensemaking and connection, deepening their conference experience.

There are two skills that define me as an emcee and speaker: the ability to see patterns in complex bodies of information, and being a grounding and calm presence amidst the complexity and exploration of a conference. In fact, I have worked for over thirty years in environments where my primary role has been to track and make sense of multitudes of information so people can view the bigger picture. For example, as a visual facilitator, I organize and synthesize groups’ divergent thinking into cohesive visual maps that enable them to see where they have been and where they need to go next.

By seeing a familiar face and relaxing presence throughout your conference, the seeds of inspiration can begin to sprout, so on their return home your attendees’ insights can shift into action, making your event even more meaningful for them.

Would I hire Julie Gieseke to MC a conference again? You bet! I was looking for a MC with skill, grace, patience and wit. Julie fulfilled my desire to have someone professionally and graciously host a three-day conference, guide people through the days, and synthesize the learning and connections. She asked great questions, paid attention, made helpful suggestions, took her role and responsibilities seriously, and showed up, ready to take charge of the conference … allowing me to do my job, knowing the agenda was in good hands. Simply put, Julie is terrific

My User Experience team at Citrix wanted a workshop on cultivating Creativity and Discipline. Julie diligently worked with me and other team members to learn about our needs and design culture. During the workshop, she engaged the audience to share their journeys in creativity and got a very good response from the team. Julie is highly professional, fun to work with, and resourceful in coming up with solutions and ideas that generated lively engagements from the group.
